CSCI 2300 - Human-­Computer Interaction Seminar
Covers methods for conducting research in human-computer interaction (HCI). Topics will be pursued through independent reading, assignments, and class discussion. Comprises four assignments that apply to HCI research methods and push the envelope, which are designed to be meaningful and have the potential to be widely visible or to be published.
Students will gain the background necessary to perform research in HCI and the skills to conduct human-centric research. There will be little content about user interfaces, but students will find some topics in CSCI 1300 relevant. Students should have taken CSCI 1300 or make a case for their interest.
