CSCI 0030 - Introduction to Computation for the Humanities and Social Sciences |
Introduces students to the use of computation for solving problems in the social sciences and the humanities. We will investigate a series of real-world problems taken from the news, from books such as Freakonomics, and from current research. Topics covered include data gathering, analysis, and visualization; web-based interfaces; algorithms; and scripting. Enrollment limited to 20.
