BIOL 1260 - Physiological Pharmacology |
Covers the physiology of human disease (e.g., Heart failure and arrhythmia; cancer signaling pathways with a focus on breast cancer; neurological disorders such as schizophrenia and Parkinson's disease) and discusses the pharmacology of the drugs used to treat disease. A group of the most commonly prescribed drugs is discussed in terms of their fundamental modes of action and clinical importance. Expected: BIOL 0800, no required.
