| PHP 2420 - Evaluating Public Health Programs and Policies |

Students will learn an overview of evaluation methodologies using both primary data collection and administrative data. Evaluation methods will be taught in the context of published studies and guest speakers' work covering a broad range of public health interest areas. Students will develop a proposal to evaluate a public health program that is ongoing or in the planning stage at the Rhode Island Department of Health or other public health-related human service agency. The proposed evaluation will be designed to balance scientific rigor with cost efficiency and viability.
